ANDY GARTNER

Andy grew up in Red Deer, Alberta and has been making music and writing songs for about 7 years.

His songs reflect his long list of music listening influences ranging from Folk/Country/Soul/Ska/Reggae music, with a strong focus on the lyric. He was a singer/songwriter in a Ska/Reggae band for 4 years in Red Deer where he began to learn the process of carving his songs. He then travelled across Canada hitching rides and working on organic farms, gathering inspiration for his newest songs which are country/folk/storytelling oriented. Through his music you are sure to be taken on a few adventures, anywhere from taking you to "Go for a swim", climbing up into the rocky mountains to get a "Mountain High",  "Riding on top" a freight train, paddling down the "Red Deer river", having a battle with those inner demons in "Go down Devil" and then hearing the tale of the first kill by his fictitious gunfighter "Tommy, the Quick".
